What is the Student Study Support program?

The Student Study Support program supports students to become independent learners with the adequate study skills; it aims to:  develop students’ organizational skills; develop students’ responsibility and positives attitude toward school work; develop teamwork spirit among students; develop self-discipline; develop proper study habits; support students review for quizzes and tests, and complete homework assignments.

 

Any student may choose to sign up for this program. Parents who do not have the time to provide the support and guidance for their children after school are recommended to enroll them in this program. Also, teachers or administrators may request that a student enrolls in the Student Study Support program if it is identified that the student needs academic assistance.

Study Support sessions will take place on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The course also covers the final examination period. The term fee for the course is 3750 AED.

Will the canteen serve lunch or hot meals to students?

Students can use their ID cards to purchase lunch at the school canteen from 2:30 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Ordering food from outside the school is not permitted.

 

Will there be transportation services?

Bus services will not be provided. Parents/guardians are expected to collect their children on time.

 

How can I register my child for Student Study Support courses?

The Term 2 Student Study Support starting date will be announced in January. Please note that students cannot enroll in a course after the course has started. If you wish to enroll your child in the Student Study Support program, please complete the Student Study Support form and return it to the Accounts Department with the assigned amount of  3750 AED (in cash). Please note that students will not be admitted to the sessions unless the fee is paid.
