Bus Services at Abu Dhabi International School

AIS offers a two-way bus service for students. Bus services for PS, KG & Prep students are separate from those for Grades 1–12 students for afternoon trips only. (Subject to change according to mode of learning.)

In some cases, if there are not sufficient numbers of students registered on a route, the students may be given an option to use Grade 1-12 buses in the morning and afternoon.

How to register for bus services

Bus services are provided on a first-come-first-serve basis. During enrollment, parents must apply for bus services and complete the payment.
Print and complete the Bus Application form.
Pay the registration fee of AED 500 to the Accounts Department.
Applications may be declined if the student lives outside the designated routes.

Bus services to the Abu Dhabi International School campus are limited to certain bus stops in these locations.

Charges for AIS bus service

The annual charge is AED 4950, including AED 500 registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of enrolment.
This cost includes two-way transport only, home to school and school to home.
There are no discounts for one-way transport.
Any cancellations should be made before June 30 of the year or full charges will apply.

Rules for bus transport

The Bus Rules & Regulations includes updated information on registrations, fees and payments, cancellations and change in address, and routes and schedules.

It also covers rules for students to observe while waiting at the bus stops or travelling in the bus. We encourage parents to communicate these rules to their children. Students who break the rules repeatedly or behave in a manner that threatens the safety of others will be denied the privilege to use the bus.
