Counselling and guidance

As middle school students move towards higher grades, they are encouraged to weigh and make right decisions, while accepting responsibility for their choices. Academic expectations become more rigorous at this stage, and young adolescents may require extra guidance and attention to grow to their fullest potential. AIS offers a comprehensive student counselling service that includes individual sessions, group sessions, and related programs.

Student-led learning

AIS strives to foster an environment that guides identity development, strengthens character, enhances individual interests, and supports young students taking healthy risks within a nurturing environment. Our students participate in research assignments, class discussions, and group work so that they can enjoy meaningful, real-life interactions and learning.

Advanced curriculum and activities

The middle grade curriculum expands to meet the growing interests of our AIS middle schoolers. From Grades six through eight, the curriculum presents an academically rigorous environment in a developmentally appropriate setting where teachers know each student personally, and students know their fellow classmates. Activities such as research assignments, class discussions and group work highlight these relationships.
