We are immensely proud of our students who created and presented innovative projects in the Program Your Idea competition held on Monday, April 22. This competition is organized by ADEK to provide students with the opportunity to create applications, including educational games, science and cultural apps, mobile and web-based tools.
Congratulations to our Grade 11 students, Angel Jeminos and Jimmy Caysip Jr, for winning the Second Place in the Cycle 3 competition. Angel and Jimmy developed the Scien-Center game. The purpose of the game is to learn science while having fun. They developed the game with active learning in mind, to ensure that the children retain what they learn as they play.
Also, congratulations to our Scratch Club students from Grades 5 and 6 whose projects were selected from the top five best projects in the Cycle 1 and Cycle 2 categories. Mohamed Ghafar and Jamal Arab’s “Plant a Flower” project and Yazan Raya, Ahmed Abu Asal, and George Nassim’s “Carbon Footprint” were impressive and well presented.
Our students won trophies, certificates, and various gifts. It was a fantastic day filled with innovative spirit and excitement. Our students left with enthusiastic plans for the upcoming competitions.
