Step 1: Application Submission
Students begin the process by submitting the Student Application Form along with all required documents, including the following:
- Letter of recommendation from the current or previous school
- Grade 9 transcript
- Grade 10 progress report
Once the complete application package is received, it will be forwarded to the IBDP Selection Committee for review.
Step 2: Letter of Intent
Applicants who demonstrate strong potential in the initial review will be invited to submit a 2,500 word Letter of Intent. This letter provides insight into the student’s academic interests, personal goals, motivations, and understanding of the expectations of the IBDP. Students respond to specific prompts that help the committee assess their reflection, independence, and commitment to the program.
Step 3: Selection Interview
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in a formal interview with the IBDP Selection Committee. During this interview, students will discuss their academic readiness, motivation for joining the IBDP, long-term goals, and intended subject choices. The interview also provides the committee with an opportunity to assess the student’s communication skills, level of commitment, and overall suitability for the demands of the program.
Final Admission Decision
Final acceptance is based on the student’s academic record, Letter of Intent, interview, and overall alignment with IBDP expectations.
