AIS offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in its MBZ Campus. Amongst IB Diploma Program schools in Abu Dhabi, the IBDP at AIS is highly sought-after, with a limited number of seats available, making the admissions process very competitive.
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in key academic areas such as English and mathematics, as well as show competence in various forms of communication, including written and oral. They must also exhibit engagement in sports, creative activities, and community service.
To apply for the IBDP program, interested students should reach out to Dr. Issam Kobrsi, the IBDP coordinator, via email (ikobrsi@aisuae.com) by February 28. They should provide their name, school, Grade 9 transcript, Grade 10 progress report, and information about their intended university major. If the IBDP Selection Committee deems this information promising, the student will be requested to submit a 2000-word letter of intent that meets specific criteria and then attend a meeting with the IBDP committee.
Students who wish to pursue admission must then follow the school’s regular admission procedures, which include taking an entrance exam. Only those who achieve qualifying scores will be granted admission to the IBDP.
