The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a rigorous two-year pre-university program for students in Grades 11 and 12. It offers a comprehensive and enriching academic experience grounded in inquiry, critical thinking, and global awareness. The IBDP prepares students for admission to leading universities worldwide and nurtures the skills, habits, and perspectives needed for responsible participation in an interconnected world.
The AIS Mission and Vision are strongly aligned with the IB Mission, as all emphasize academic excellence, global citizenship, and students’ capacity to lead positive change. This shared philosophy is further reflected in the close alignment between the IB Learner Profile and the AIS Learner Attributes, ensuring that students experience the IBDP in a way that is consistent with IB principles while remaining rooted in the school’s identity.
The IB Learner Profile develops students who are Knowledgeable, Inquirers, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-minded, Caring, Risk-takers, Balanced, and Reflective. Similarly, AIS promotes twelve attributes that reinforce and extend these qualities—Knowledgeable, Thinker, Inquirer, Reflective, Communicator, Courageous, Determined, Compassionate, Self-Disciplined, Collaborative, Responsible, and Integrous—ensuring a holistic and coherent approach to learner development.
